A great product shouldn’t get stuck at “we still need the packaging.” If you have a product ready to go but no box size, label layout or finished artwork, we can help.

With our new free packaging design service, YBS helps size your packaging and design your boxes and labels from scratch. You bring the product and the idea. We help turn them into packaging that feels like your brand.

Design help is free. Packaging production is quoted separately.

Free sizing and design help, with a team behind it

You don’t need to arrive with a finished design or a box size already picked out. Tell us what you’re packaging, share any dimensions you know and let us know where you need a hand. We can work through sizing and the look of your packaging together.

The offering includes boxes, labels, chocolate boxes, belly bands and coffee sleeves. Whether you’re starting a new brand or refreshing an existing product, you can talk with the same team about design and the next steps toward production.

What can you bring to a free packaging design project?

You can start with a new product, refresh existing packaging or work toward a more consistent look across a product line. Share what you already have and explain what you’d like to change.

A logo and brand colors are useful, but so are a product photo, a link to your website or a few examples of a style you like. You don’t need completed packaging artwork to send a request.

Custom box design: think about fit before the finishing touches

Our custom box design conversation starts with the product itself. What are its dimensions? Which way should it sit on a shelf? Does it have a cap, handle or other detail that changes the space it needs?

When you measure, include the units and explain which measurement is length, width and height. If you’re packaging several pieces together, describe the whole set. Our guide to measuring your box is a useful starting point. If the size is still uncertain, say so in your request rather than guessing.

Next, think about the front panel. Decide what a shopper should notice first: the brand, the product name or the variety. Keep longer details for another panel where possible. Browse our custom boxes and packaging to explore formats before you settle on a direction.

Custom label design: start with the container

A label layout needs to work on the actual jar, bottle or tin, not just on a screen. Share the container size and describe where you want the label to sit. A front label, a lid label and a wraparound label each give you a different space to work with.

Gather the wording you want included before concentrating on decorative details. Separate the product name and variety from longer information so the layout has a clear order. If you have several scents, flavors or sizes, list what stays the same and what changes between versions.

You can explore our custom label options for ideas. If your product also needs a box, share both pieces together so the colors, typography and product names can be considered as a set.

A simple checklist for your design request

You don’t have to answer every question immediately. These details give the conversation a practical starting point:

  • Your product: what it is and how you plan to present it.
  • Your packaging: a box, label, chocolate box, belly band or coffee sleeve, or a note that you need help choosing.
  • Your size: product dimensions, container measurements or cup details, if known.
  • Your brand: a logo, colors and a website or social page.
  • Your wording: product names, varieties and the text you want on the package.
  • Your direction: a few style references and a short explanation of what you like about them.

For example, “I want a clean white box for a single skincare bottle, with our green logo and room for three product varieties” gives a clearer starting point than “make it look premium.” Specific details help explain what you have in mind without requiring a finished design brief.

How to request free packaging design help

  1. Choose a starting point. Open the design request form and select your packaging, or choose the help-me-choose option.
  2. Describe your idea. Add the approximate size if you know it, your preferred style and a link to any inspiration.
  3. Send your contact details. Our team will follow up by email so you can share artwork files and the text you want included.

As the project takes shape, ask about any open questions: sizing, artwork versions, materials, finishes or the next steps toward production. Keep those choices connected to how the packaging will be used.

What happens when you’re ready to produce your packaging?

The free offer covers sizing and design help. When you’re ready to discuss production, YBS can quote your packaging separately, so you can move from design to production with one team.

Before approving production, review the proposed dimensions, artwork and specifications with us. Confirm how you’ll check the product fit, along with quantity, proofing steps and timing. A design direction is a starting point, not a substitute for approving the details of your order.

You can begin with an idea and work through the details from there.
