A blank page can be the hardest part of a packaging project. Design Studio gives you a place to try a color palette, position your logo and work out how your product name should read on the front of a box.
Planning a skincare collection? Exploring a new candle scent? Giving your soap labels a fresh look? Start with an editable template or build from a blank canvas. You can change the text, colors and shapes to move the design toward your own brand.
The goal is simple: help you turn an idea into something you can see, refine and discuss with our team.
Build a concept in a few practical steps
1. Choose a box or label
Select your design type and enter your concept dimensions in inches. The folding carton option uses a straight tuck concept, giving you a familiar box format to explore.
You do not need to settle every production detail before you begin. Use your product measurements as a starting point, then let our team help confirm the final size and structure. If you need help measuring, talk with YBS before you take the next step.
2. Make the artwork yours
Choose from five editable starting templates: Alder & Field for botanical skincare, FIELD for natural soap, AURA HOUSE for candles, STUDIO 08 for beauty or NOIR for craft chocolate. You can also start blank.
Add text, upload a PNG, JPG or WebP image, and use shapes and background colors to build your layout. Move, resize and rotate elements as you work. For a carton, switch between panels to carry the design around the box, or focus on one panel when you want a closer look.
Try giving your product name more room. Compare a bold color with a softer one. See how the side panels support the front. Small changes are easier to discuss when you can see them.
3. Look around your carton
The rotatable 3D carton preview helps you see how the panels work together. Check the relationship between your front, sides and back, then return to the artwork to make adjustments.
This is a visual concept preview. It is a useful way to explore artwork placement, while the final board thickness, closures and construction still need production review.
4. Save your work and prepare the conversation
Save in your browser while you work, and download your editable project so you can return to it later. You can also export a concept SVG.
When you are ready to discuss a quote, enter your quantity, finish preference and project notes. Prepare an artwork review ZIP to keep your original images, editable project, concept proof and image resolution report together.
Then request a custom quote or contact our team to arrange sharing your artwork package. Design Studio prepares files on your device; it does not automatically submit your design or place an order.
From a promising concept to packaging that works
Good packaging needs to look right and work in production. Design Studio helps with the first conversation, and our team helps with the practical details that follow.
The built in image resolution check flags raster artwork against a 300 PPI minimum. It is a helpful planning check, but passing it does not make a file ready to print. YBS will confirm the final dieline, dimensions, stock, finish, bleed, colors and production files before manufacturing.
